All game servers will need to be taken down for updates. The maintenance period starts on Wednesday Jun 30th at 07:00AM (GMT+2). Most of them should be back up by 11:00AM (GMT+2).

During this time window, we will also release the new game client.

Blackhats has added a 26 player cod 4 server, we are going to be playing a tactical type game play, with custom maps. I will be working on this with other BH members to get a real fun mix of both maps and server gameplay together. May be a week or so before it’s ready to really rock, but it is being worked on.

Literally days before CoD:BO held its community event in Santa Monica, EA organized its own get-together for the new Medal of Honor reboot, Tier 1.

Perennial BASH guest Jim (aka Rudedog) from FPSAdmin.com was at that event and we have him on the program to talk about what he saw down there in LA.

Though EALA is doing the single-player for Medal of Honor, it’s DICE (makers of Battlefield: Bad Company 2) handling the multiplayer component. While the expectation may be for DICE to offer up Battlefield’s multiplayer with a different coat of paint, that’s not the case at all. Medal of Honor’s multiplayer certainly has elements of DICE’s design heritage, but it’s more about ground infantry combat. The battles, 12-on-12 online matches featuring special forces versus insurgents, are intense and brutal. You die quickly thanks to “faster bullets” as DICE describes it, and a lack of health packs. Battlefield: Bad Company 2 is bringing Battlefield’s first co-op mode to consoles with Onslaught mode. Up to 4 players can tackle the new objective based missions posting your best times on the co-op leaderboards as well as the chance to obtain new achievements and trophies. Onslaught will be available from June 22nd on Xbox 360 for 800 MS Points and on the PlayStation Network in North America for $9.99 followed by the European PlayStation Network on June 23rd for 8.99€.

On June 9th, VIP Map Pack 3 will be available on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 bringing new modes to Nelson Bay and Laguna Alta.

Fight for control of the M3A3 Bradley and achieve supremacy against 3 other squads as Nelson Bay is enhanced with Squad Deathmatch mode.
Use all of your squad skills and tactics to secure M-COM stations as Laguna Alta is enhanced with Squad Rush mode.

The map pack is available with the VIP code which is included in every new copy of Battlefield: Bad Company 2. Players that do not have a code can purchase one via the in-game store.

PC will get the maps available for all players after the release of the next update without the need for a VIP code.

Make sure you enable your old account or create a new account as this will give you a chance at winning a beta key.
